About Cambo-les-Bains

Cambo-les-Bains grew as a spa town in the nineteenth century, and its thermal baths still treat rheumatism and respiratory conditions. Edmond Rostand, the author of Cyrano de Bergerac, built the Villa Arnaga here, a Basque-style mansion with formal gardens that is now the most visited house museum in the region. The upper town has the hotels and the church; the lower town sits on the Nive.
