Bidart stretches along five kilometres of cliffs between Biarritz and Guéthary, with a string of coves at their foot: Ilbarritz and its château, the Pavillon Royal, Erretegia in its green amphitheatre, the Plage du Centre below the village and the Uhabia at the mouth of the stream. The village itself sits on the plateau around a square with the church, the fronton and a view of the ocean, and it has kept a Basque character that its bigger neighbour lost long ago.
