About Ciboure
Ciboure is the quieter half of the bay it shares with Saint-Jean-de-Luz: a fishing village of tall houses on the quay where Maurice Ravel was born, a Dutch-style church, and the hill of Bordagain with its villas and views. Its shoreline ends at Socoa, a fort built for Louis XIII, a small beach sheltered by the sea walls and a sailing school that makes the most of the flattest water on the coast.
