Donostia-San Sebastián lies 45.2 km from Biarritz station, just over the border in the province of Gipuzkoa. The city wraps around La Concha bay, a sweep of sand framed by Monte Igueldo and Monte Urgull, and its reputation for food is unmatched: pintxos counters in the old quarter, a cluster of Michelin-starred restaurants in the hills, and the covered market of La Bretxa.
Leaving Biarritz station the car joins the A63 just south of the station, passes Saint-Jean-de-Luz and Hendaye, and takes the AP-8 after the Biriatou border crossing; the tolls are part of the fixed price. Drop-offs are usually at hotels in the Centro, in Gros near the Zurriola beach, or in the Antiguo, but the transfer can end anywhere in the city, including the Amara station for onward travel in Spain.
