About Guéthary

Between Bidart and Saint-Jean-de-Luz, Guéthary is a village of white houses and red shutters gathered around a harbour that can hold a dozen boats. It has a reputation out of proportion to its size: surfers know it for Parlementia and the Alcyons, walkers for the coastal path that runs to Cenitz and on to Saint-Jean-de-Luz, and everyone else for a handful of restaurants and bars on the square that stay busy long after the season. The population is under two thousand, and the whole village is walkable in ten minutes.

From Biarritz station the car reaches Guéthary in about 25 minutes on the D810. Hotels, guesthouses, villas and the beaches are all served.
