Biarritz SNCF station is in the La Négresse district, about three kilometres from the seafront, and there are no trams or metro to take you into town. A booked car at the platform exit is the simplest way to start your stay in Guéthary, especially with luggage or after a long TGV ride.

About Guéthary
Between Bidart and Saint-Jean-de-Luz, Guéthary is a village of white houses and red shutters gathered around a harbour that can hold a dozen boats. It has a reputation out of proportion to its size: surfers know it for Parlementia and the Alcyons, walkers for the coastal path that runs to Cenitz and on to Saint-Jean-de-Luz, and everyone else for a handful of restaurants and bars on the square that stay busy long after the season. The population is under two thousand, and the whole village is walkable in ten minutes.
From Biarritz station the car reaches Guéthary in about 25 minutes on the D810. Hotels, guesthouses, villas and the beaches are all served at the fixed fare of €35.
