About San Sebastián Airport (EAS)

EAS is a small regional airport with a single terminal, a few gates and flights mostly to Madrid and Barcelona, plus seasonal routes to the Balearics, the Canaries and a handful of European cities. Its size is its advantage: check-in, security and boarding are minutes apart, and the terminal door is a few metres from the drop-off lane. It lies on the flats of the Bidasoa estuary, 20 km east of San Sebastián itself, which is why it is often called Hondarribia airport.

From Biarritz Airport the route is the A63 to the border at Biriatou, then the N-638 down to the airport; there is no toll on the Spanish side of this short stretch and the crossing itself is just a road bridge.
