About Hendaye

Hendaye faces Spain across the Bidasoa estuary, with Hondarribia’s old town on the other bank and the bay of Txingudi in between. Its beach, three kilometres of gently sloping sand protected by the Deux Jumeaux rocks, is the longest and the safest on the Basque Coast, which makes it a favourite with families and beginner surfers.
