About Saint-Jean-de-Luz

Saint-Jean-de-Luz is the most elegant of the small towns between Biarritz and the Spanish border: a harbour full of tuna boats, a curved beach protected by three sea walls, and streets of red-shuttered houses leading to the church where Louis XIV was married. Its twin across the river, Ciboure, adds the Socoa fort, a sailing club and Ravel’s birthplace on the quay.

The transfer from Biarritz station follows the A63 for two exits or the D810 along the coast; both take roughly 30 minutes.
