Biarritz Train Station Transfers

Tips from Your Driver

Biarritz train station sits on Allée du Moura, a few minutes inland from the beaches. The TGV from Paris stops here, and so do the regional trains along the coast. Here is how a private transfer from Biarritz train station works, and what I tell the travellers I pick up there every week.

Where your driver meets you

The station is small, which makes meeting easy. Your driver waits at the main exit, on the station forecourt, as your train pulls in. On request, he holds a name sign so you spot him straight away.

  • Your train is tracked. Give your train number when you book. If it runs late, your driver adjusts his arrival time. You don't have to call.

  • Waiting time is included. Take the time you need to collect your bags on the platform.

  • Luggage. Tell us about large items (surfboards, golf bags, bikes) when you book, so the right car comes.

How long does the drive take?

These drive times come from our transfer pages and assume normal traffic:

In summer and on festival weekends, the coast road gets busier. Your driver chooses the best route on the day.

Travelling with children or a pet

  • Child seats. Rear-facing baby seats, Isofix child seats and boosters are available on request. Tell us the age of each child when you book and the seats are fitted before you arrive.

  • Pets. Small pets are welcome, and large dogs on request. Mention them when you book.

  • Help with bags. Your driver loads and unloads your luggage. Mobility assistance is available on request.

Good to know before you arrive

  • Pay at the end of the ride By card or in cash.

  • English-speaking driver. Your driver speaks English and knows the coast well.

  • Late trains. The last trains from Paris arrive in the evening. Book in advance so your driver is there whatever the time.

  • Going on to the airport? Many travellers combine a train arrival with a flight home. Read our tips on Biarritz Airport transfers.

For events and opening hours in town, the official tourism office, Destination Biarritz, is the best source. The City of Biarritz also lists road works and festival days.
