Child Seats for Your Biarritz Transfer
Tips from Your Driver
If you land at Biarritz with children, you can book a child seat with your private transfer and find it fitted in the car when you arrive. You only need to give me their ages when you book. Here is what I tell the families I drive.
Which child seat for which age?
I carry three kinds of seat, and the choice depends on your child's age:
Rear-facing baby seat From birth to 18 months.
Isofix child seat From 18 months to 4 years.
Booster seat From 4 to 10 years.
These ages are a starting point. If your child is tall or small for their age, tell me in the comment when you book and we will pick the right seat together. In France, children under 10 must travel in a seat suited to their size, and the French road safety agency publishes the official advice for parents.
How do I book a child seat with my transfer?
It takes a few seconds. Start your booking on the Biarritz Airport transfers page, enter your trip, then open « Child seats » in the additional services and choose the number of each seat. Your fare updates on the spot, and the seats appear on your confirmation.
If you have two young children, add both seats. If you are travelling as a larger family, the booking module shows you the vehicles that fit your group.
What should I tell you when I book?
A few details help me prepare the car properly, and they all fit in the booking form:
how many children are travelling, and how old they are;
which seat you need for each of them;
your flight number, so that I can follow your arrival;
anything bulky, such as a pushchair or a travel cot, in the comment.
The number of passengers matters too. Count every child, babies included, because each one takes a real place in the car. If you tell me the right number from the start, you will not have to rearrange anything at the kerb with bags in your hands, and I can make sure there is room for everyone and all your luggage.
What happens when we land?
I follow your flight, so a delay changes nothing for you. The seats are fitted before you arrive, which means nobody has to wrestle with straps in the car park while a tired toddler waits.
Biarritz Airport is small, and that is good news with children. The walk from the plane to the exit is short. If you want a hand, you can ask to be met at the airport when you book.
Once you are in the car, the journey is usually short. Anglet is about 25 minutes away, Bidart and Bayonne about 30. If you are staying further out, a private transfer to Hossegor or a private transfer to San Sebastián takes about 55 minutes.
Do you also collect families from the train station?
Yes, and it works the same way. If you arrive at Biarritz train station SNCF (Allée du Moura), book a private transfer from Biarritz train station and add your seats in the same step. I follow your train, and I wrote more about arriving there in our article on train station transfers.
Local tip
Families often ask me what to keep within reach. For a short trip, I suggest one bag in the car with a drink, a snack and the toy that matters. The rest can go in the boot. If you have a pushchair, mention it in the comment so I can plan the space.
Common questions from parents
Do I need a seat for the return trip too? Yes, add it to both trips if you book a round trip. A private transfer to Bayonne or a private transfer to Anglet back to the airport works the same way.
What if my plans change? Message me on WhatsApp and I will update the seats.
